With the enthusiastic support of the community, 2009's event raised over $16,000 for SOS Children's Village BC. In 2010 participants and sponsors collectively raised over $22,000! With your help, we will continue to grow year after year.

Did you know that there are over 9000 BC children and youth in foster care? According to statistics from the BC Representative for Children and Youth and the Foster Parent Federation of British Columbia:

• Only 25% of youth in foster care graduate from high school
• Up to 40% become involved in the criminal justice system
• Over 50% of the homeless are in or from the social welfare system

Our province's children are the future and there's a community obligation to give them the love and support that every child needs to grow into a healthy adult.
